Tampa Bay, Fla. (January 25, 2018) – Tampa Bay Tech, the region’s non-profit technology council has named Jill St. Thomas Co-Executive Director.
“Jill’s exceptional track record of leadership, successful fundraising, and effective marketing and communications makes her an ideal choice for this role as Tampa Bay Tech continues to see enormous growth,” said Jeff Alagood, COO of Agile Thought and chair of Tampa Bay Tech’s board of directors.
Daniel James Scott has been serving as Executive Director since 2015, and welcomes the organizational shift. “As this region evolves into a significant tech hub we now have someone on our team who is really well-suited to tell this story,” said Daniel James Scott, Co-Executive Director, Tampa Bay Tech. “Given Jill’s extensive background in marketing, as well as her tenure here, the elevation seemed a natural progression.”
St. Thomas has been with Tampa Bay Tech for over 6 years. In her previous positions as Director of Memberships and Director of Partnerships & Engagement, she was able to hone the skills necessary to step seamlessly into this new role.
“Our responsibilities align with our strengths,” says St. Thomas. “This allows me to focus on key strategic initiatives with our members while continuing to collaborate with Daniel on our overall mission – empowering Tampa Bay as the fast-growing, unique tech hub we see every single day.”

Raising two sons here, St. Thomas served for several years on the board of Carrollwood Day School’s Parent-Teacher Organization and is a current member of the Mother’s Club at Jesuit High School. She served as co-chair of the Tampa Bay Partnership Marketing Council and is the current public relations co-chair of LAMPLighters. She is a proud member of the Boston University Alumni Association, having earned her Bachelor of Science from Boston University’s College of Communication. She has called Tampa Bay home since 1993.
