TAMPA, Fla. (January 24, 2018) – LandSouth Construction, a Jacksonville, Fla. based general contractor specializing in multifamily, senior housing and mixed-use developments, broke ground on Town Westshore at Marina District, a 396-unit waterfront community being developed by Miami-based developer, The Related Group.The luxury mid-rise apartments are being designed by MSA, a Miami-based architectural firm, and are slated for completion in the summer of 2019.
“Developments like Town Westshore are positioned to take advantage of the continued popularity, job, and population growth in the region,” noted LandSouth President and CEO James Pyle. “The Westshore Marina District is adding more options to the local housing market at a critical time. Bay area rents and home prices have soared, and there’s little to no inventory available, particularly on the waterfront.”
Town Westshore is one of four Related projects in the Tampa Bay area and is a part of a broader push into the Central Florida region by the developer. These projects are directed by Related’s Central Florida office and include Manor Riverwalk, Icon Harbour Island, Icon Central, Town Maitland among others.
