January 19, 2018 – Tampa, Fla. – Trenam Law is pleased to announce that attorney Katherine O’Donniley has been appointed to the City of Tampa’s Downtown Community Redevelopment Agency’s (CRA) Community Advisory Committee. Tampa City Council, sitting as the City’s CRA Board of Directors, made the appointment. O’Donniley joins the Downtown CRA Committee after recently completing a term serving as Chair of the Channel District CRA’s Community Advisory Committee.
The Downtown CRA is an 870 acre area representing the urban core of the City of Tampa. The purpose of the Community Advisory Committee is to ensure that the interests of residents, property owners, businesses and other stakeholders in the area are represented in key decisions concerning the Downtown CRA. The Committee provides input and makes recommendations to the CRA and City staff. In 2017, the Channel District saw annual Tax Increment Financing (TIF) revenue reach $9.4 million.
O’Donniley is senior counsel in the firm’s Real Estate and Lending Transactions practice group. O’Donniley focuses her practice in the areas of real estate, land use, alcohol beverage regulations, government advocacy and public finance. She represents clients before various local governmental bodies on issues relating to zoning, land use, local government comprehensive planning, code enforcement and alcohol beverage licensing. O’Donniley is experienced in the area of public finance, including public debt offerings, bond counsel and disclosure counsel for various localities and issuers. She is credentialed by the U.S. Green Building Council as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED® AP). O’Donniley’s real estate practice focuses on office and retail real estate development and leasing, representing national and regional landlords and tenants in connection with acquisitions, dispositions, development and leasing of office buildings, shopping centers and mixed–use properties. O’Donniley received a J.D., cum laude, from University of Florida Levin College of Law and a B.A. from Florida State University.
