The Florida Inventors Hall of Fame is now accepting nominations for the 2018 class of inventors whose achievements have advanced the quality of life for the state and the nation. The deadline for submitting nominations is February 15, 2018. To nominate an individual, visit http://www.floridainvents.org/ for instructions and access to the nomination portal.
Nomination to the Florida Inventors Hall of Fame is open to all Florida Inventors living or dead, who have an affiliation with or connection to Florida. The nominee must be a named inventor on a patent issued by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. The impact of the inventor and his or her invention should be significant to society as a whole, and the invention should have been commercialized, utilized, or led to important innovations. No self-nominations will be accepted.
Honorees will be selected by a Selection Committee comprising distinguished leaders in Florida. Inventors elected to the Hall of Fame will be inducted at the Fifth Annual Florida Inventors Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Gala, to be held on the evening of September 7, 2018, in Tampa.
