Watson Clinic Earns Reaccreditation From the AAAHC for Another Three-Year Term

December 27, 2017 by Post

Lakeland, FL –Watson Clinic has earned a three-year reaccreditation from the Accreditation Association of Ambulatory Health Care, Inc. (AAAHC), one of the leading patient advocacy groups in the country.

This reaccreditation was granted following a vigorous evaluation of each aspect of the clinic’s operations and practices. The survey determined compliance in every category, and no deficiencies were noted.

“The AAAHC is the benchmark when it comes to reporting those facilities that set the highest standards of patient safety and healthcare quality,” says Watson Clinic Managing Partner Dr. John R. Ellington, Jr. “We voluntarily participate in this accreditation process because we’re committed to fulfilling our own high standards. This achievement also indicates to our community that they’re receiving a level of care from Watson Clinic that’s comparable to the very best the country has to offer.”

Outpatient facilities seeking accreditation by AAAHC undergo a meticulous self-assessment and on-site survey by the AAAHC’s team of expert surveyors, which includes physicians, nurses, and administrators who are actively involved in ambulatory health care.

This is the latest in a long string of honors and accreditations that have been bestowed upon the clinic over the course of their nearly 77-year history. In 1969, Watson Clinic was the first medical clinic in the United States to achieve accreditation by the American Association of Medical Clinics, and since that time, they have continued to voluntarily participate in a series of rigorous examinations conducted by the most reputable patient advocacy groups in the industry.  More information is available at www.WatsonClinic.com/accreditations.

The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, founded in 1979, is the leader in ambulatory health care accreditation with more than 5,000 organizations accredited nationwide. The AAAHC serves as an advocate for the provision of high-quality health care through the development of nationally recognized standards and through its survey and accreditation programs. AAAHC accreditation is recognized as a symbol of quality by third-party payers, medical organizations, liability insurance companies, state and federal agencies and the public.  For more information on the AAAHC, you can visit their website at www.aaahc.org.
