Tampa, FL, December 27, 2017 – A familiar voice is returning to the airwaves in a new show. Emmy award winning executive producer, blogger, and speaker Bridget A. Foster is launching “The Writer’s Resource” podcast. It’s an extension of her popular blog of the same name. “People consume information in a host of ways,” Foster said. “Wherever the need is, I want to be there. That’s how the podcast started.”
The “Writer’s Resource” blog and now podcast are learning tools for journalism students and working professionals looking to fine-tune their skills. Foster discusses a wide range of topics including how to create dazzling descriptive copy, cutting the clutter from your scripts, and avoiding grammatical errors. “That’s just the beginning. I plan to tackle the art of crafting a tease that makes people want to stick around, conversational writing, and storytelling versus reporting. I could keep going. There is so much to talk about!” Foster exclaimed.
Foster has been in the journalism field for more than two decades. Part of that time, she was on the radio in Gainesville, Florida. “I was an anchor and reporter. I covered city issues, did live reports in the field, anchored the live news headlines, and co-hosted a weekend show. That was at the very beginning of my career. So really, this is a return to my roots with two differences. Most of what I did back then was live. With the podcast, I can make mistakes and record as many times as I want … and I also hated my voice back then. Now, it’s tolerable.” Foster said chuckling.
If you would like to subscribe to the new podcast, you can find it on Foster’s website. You can also download it on I-Tunes or Google Play. If you would like to book Foster to speak at your next writing conference, you can do so by visiting her website as well, BridgetAFoster.com.
