TAMPA, Fla. (Dec. 13, 2017) – Colliers International’s Student Housing Group has brokered the sale of The Social, a 180-unit, 560-bed apartment community in Temple Terrace. The property was sold for $26 million and caters to students of the University of South Florida’s Tampa campus.
Travis Prince, Executive Managing Director, and Sean Baird, MSRE, Director, from Colliers’ Student Housing Group, handled the transaction.
Floor plans include a 960-square-foot two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit and a 1,498-square-foot four-bedroom, four-bathroom unit. All apartments include a private balcony or patio, full-size washer and dryer, and direct access to the Hillsborough Area Regional Transit bus service, which is free to University of South Florida students.
The University of South Florida is a public research university with more than 43,000 students enrolled and was recently ranked No. 1 in student success among 1,100 public research and doctoral universities by Eduventures, a Boston-based research and advisory firm. The Social is located at 2919 Network Place.
