Tampa, Fla. – The University Area Community Development Corporation (University Area CDC) has appointed Jaree Ervin as director of development.
“We are so excited to have Jaree join our team,” said Sarah Combs, executive director and CEO. “Her vision and wealth of experience will be a great asset to the organization, as she will play an integral role in advancing the mission of University Area CDC by developing donor strategies and increasing fundraising opportunities.”
Ervin has an extensive background in philanthropy and fund raising, having most recently served as vice president of development for the Indianapolis Urban League and director of development for the Indiana Network for Higher Education Ministries. Ervin also served as a research associate for the Indiana University Public Policy Institute.
Ervin received a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University, and she is a graduate of the Lilly School of Philanthropy with a Masters of Philanthropic Studies. She is certified in Fund Raising Management (CFRM) from Indiana University’s The Fund Raising School, and is certified in Nonprofit Management (CNPM) from the Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs. Additionally, she is certified nationally through the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance as a Certified Nonprofit Professional and internationally certified in fundraising as Certified Fund Raising Executive through CFRE International.
University Area CDC offers support for thousands of Tampa residents through youth programs, adult education and resource assistance.
