“Hitler, My Father” Novel by Tarpon Writer Available Now!!

December 6, 2017 by Post

Rod Merten, a writer based in Tarpon Springs, announced that his novel, “Hitler, My Father” is available now directly from the author at www.rodmerten.com.

The novel, seven years in the writing, is being published by Parkhurst Brothers. The narrative primarily spans the half decade between the annexation of Austria in 1938 and the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989. In it an adoring young woman, Lotte Schoener, encounters Adolf Hitler. She becomes pregnant, bearing his child, but is never contacted by Hitler again despite numerous letters. The story follows her life in her village where she is alternately despised and barely accepted, the life of her son, and his search for his father all told from the point of view of a researcher writing a generation later. Much of the story is based on documented history with just enough creativity to make it fascinating.

Copies, can be obtained directly from the author at his website: rodmerten.com or by calling 989-293-8854. Merten is available for interviews and book signing events.
