Bradenton, Fla. (December 3, 2017)– Centerstone, a not-for-profit behavioral health organization dedicated to delivering care that changes people’s lives, today announced Shawny Robey as the company’s chief operating officer. Robey will head day-to-day operations to ensure Centerstone Florida grows and maintains operational excellence.
“Shawny’s marketing and business development expertise has contributed to Centerstone’s growth” said Melissa Larkin Skinner, Centerstone’s chief executive officer. “I’m confident she will thrive in this new role and will ensure our continued advancement, all while challenging us to further our mission to deliver care that changes people’s lives.”
As COO, Robey will oversee outpatient and inpatient services and lead business development and marketing. Robey joined Centerstone in 2013 and previously served as Vice President for Business Development. In that role she oversaw business development, media relations, and several operational functions. She has spearheaded efforts to improve customer access to life-changing care.
She is currently finishing her Master’s of Business Administration with a concentration on International Business at Florida International University.
Before joining Centerstone, Robey began her career in Manatee County at the largest Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in the Southeast region. She was responsible for marketing, public relations, philanthropy, and media functions. After many years with the organization, she joined Eli Lilly and Company as a pharmaceutical representative in the neuroscience division.
Shawny Robey earned full athletic scholarships to The University of Southern Mississippi, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business with a concentration in Marketing and a Master’s degree in Communications.
