December is a time to reflect on the past and plan for the year ahead.  The City has seen tremendous change in the past year with new businesses, new residential projects, and new public improvements that are adding to the vibrancy of Tarpon Springs.  This month we feature reports on growth over the past year.  Have a comment?  Send an e-mail.

Business Comings and Goings in 2017

It has been a busy year for everyone involved with new business openings. The City has seen more than 30 new businesses open this year, including expansions, and several projects in the planning and permitting stages.  Click here to see a report on new retail, restaurants, and markets that opened in 2017.

Public Projects Add to Quality of Life

From new parks to new streets and parking lots, the City has been busy completing public improvement projects to add to the quality of life and safety for residents and visitors. Click here for a report on recent public infrastructure projects.

Construction Brisk for Residential Projects

The City is experiencing residential growth with up to 14 projects in various stages of development.  Nearly 900 residential units will be added to the City’s residential base in the coming years.  Click here for a report on existing, ongoing, and new residential developments.

New Businesses Coming Soon

More food and fitness is coming in December to the growing and vibrant Downtown. Fit Yoga Factory is coming to 110 E. Tarpon Ave. in mid-December just in time for those “get fit” resolutions.  And the Tuscan Sun Italian Bistro ,17 N. Safford Ave., opens Dec. 13 adding to a diverse group of locally-owned restaurants.  Welcome both to Tarpon Springs!
