Trinity, Fla. (November 21, 2017) — Florida Cancer Affiliates (FCA), a community-based medical oncology, hematology, and radiation oncology practice, announces that its Trinity center will host the “Man to Man” prostate cancer support group meeting. The group meets the second Tuesday each month at the Trinity center, 3611 Little Road, Trinity, Florida 34655.
Anyone interested in joining and learning about this group should call Dennis Brown at 727-203-6713. The next meeting is scheduled for December 12 from 6 – 7:30 pm.
Co-sponsored by the American Cancer Society, “Man to Man” sessions discuss: the importance of early detection of prostate cancer, signs and symptoms of the disease, prognosis, disease stages, incontinence, impotence, the various treatment options including hormone therapy and medications, and especially the latest research and treatment modalities. Speakers include physicians, nurses, dietitians, pharmacists, social workers and others.
Anyone who has been touched by any form of cancer is invited to attend, not just patients of Florida Cancer Affiliates. Family members are also encouraged to attend. Refreshments are served and reservations are advised.
