BB&T Entrepreneurial Academy® Graduates New Business Owners in St. Petersburg

Fall 2017 Entrepreneurial Academy celebrates 11th cohort

NOVEMBER 17, 2017 | St. Petersburg, FL – The BB&T Entrepreneurial Academy® (EA) celebrated its 11th commencement event this week at the St. Petersburg Museum of History in downtown St. Petersburg. The Entrepreneurial Academy® is a ten-week course that teaches existing and future entrepreneurs the essentials of owning a successful business.

The Entrepreneurial Academy is a program of the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce® and the St. Petersburg Greenhouse, the one-stop facility for starting and growing local businesses.

Taught by business leaders in the community, the curriculum includes sessions on topics such as legal entities, accounting, writing a business plan, marketing and more. Upon graduation, entrepreneurs receive a complimentary 1 year membership to the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce®.

“It is our privilege and honor to work with the incredible entrepreneurs of this community. These twelve graduates are great examples of what makes St. Pete such a dynamic community,” said Sean Kennedy, the Chamber’s manager of the St. Petersburg Greenhouse.
