Citrus and Hernando Counties, Florida (November 17, 2017) – Oak Hill Hospital / Nature Coast Emergency Medical Institute Consortium for Paramedic Education is sharing its first time pass rates for the program’s EMT and Paramedic Programs. The following data has been reported to the Florida Department of Education and Florida Department of Health.
- Placement rate: 93.02%
- Retention rate: 94.64%
- Paramedic first time pass rate: 88.89% on the Florida exam
- EMT first time pass rate: 94% on the Net National Registry exam
“We have also met the standard for the Florida Career Source to sponsor students to our EMT and Paramedic programs”, said Jane Bedford, Program Director of the Nature Coast Emergency Medical Institute. “The standards are high and we are very proud to have met them”, she added.
The Paramedic Program was recognized during an accreditation visit as having the following strengths:
- Program lead instructor is highly experienced and students perceive that he “cares” for their well-being
- Students’ employers are satisfied with graduates
- The program is held in high regard by the community
- The program has an active and involved Medical Director
- The program has the support of EMS Service and hospital partners
The next Paramedic Program begins January 11, 2018. The next EMT Program begins January 25, 2018.
