Greenberg Traurig Shareholder Peter W. Zinober Receives TBBCA 2017 Impact Award

TAMPA, FL – Nov. 13, 2017 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP Shareholder Peter W. Zinober  receives the Tampa Bay Businesses for Culture & the Arts (TBBCA) 2017 Impact Award. The awards were presented Oct. 17 at the Renaissance Tampa International Hotel.

Tampa Bay Businesses for Culture and the Arts (TBBCA) is a nonprofit organization that unites area businesses to champion arts and culture for a prosperous community through innovative partnerships and sustainable programs. The annual Impact Awards recognize Tampa Bay’s businesses and individuals for their contributions to culture and the arts.

 

TBBCA is honoring Zinober for his exemplary leadership in support of Tampa Bay arts and cultural organizations for more than four decades. He served two six year l terms on the City of Tampa Mayor’s Public Art Committee, chaired a joint City/County Task Force on the Future of the Arts in Hillsborough County, and was appointed by the County Commission as a member of the Hillsborough County Arts Council, which he went on to Chair. Zinober also served as the Arts Council designated board member for The Straz Center for the Performing Arts. He was the driving force behind the creation and execution of the first Tampa Bay Regional Arts Summit in 2013. He was also on the board of directors of the Tampa Players Theater, honorary board member of Stageworks Theatre, and board member and treasurer of the Florida Cultural Action and Education Alliance. He also served as Board Chairman of The Florida Orchestra from 1981-1983, a Board Member and its General Counsel from 1973-1986, and Board of Advisors Member for several years thereafter. Zinober was on the Florida Arts Council from 1977-1981 and served as Chairman in 1981. He has been a longtime TBBCA member, officer, board director and past president. As TBBCA Board Director, he is currently spearheading  several new initiatives and programs. Zinober and Greenberg Traurig are TBBCA Chair’s Circle pARTners and strong supporters of arts and culture.
