SARASOTA, FL, November 1, 2017 – Sarasota Musica Viva, the area’s finest non-profit chamber music organization is pleased to announce their upcoming “Divine Inspiration” Concert at the Manatee Performing Arts Center in Bradenton on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at 6:00 PM. The program includes works by JS Bach, Joseph Jongen, Andy Scott, Astor Piazzolla and features Sarasota Musica Viva’s Artistic Director and flutist, Linda Bento-Rei along with harpist, Susan Knapp Thomas. The evening includes interactive program notes with the musicians and passionately beautiful music.
“What we love about this program is the vast variety of repertoire performed in the great foyer of the Manatee Performing Arts Center which creates an intimate environment in which we are able to interact and bring a new awareness and passion for little known pieces and beloved favorites to our audience,” explains Linda Bento Rei, Artistic Director.

*Friday, January 5, 2018 at 7:00 PM at ART Avenue, Art Gallery, Westgate Mall, Sarasota featuring “Endangered Pieces”, a program of flute and piano repertoire recently recorded and rarely performed by long time duo – Boston Symphony pianist Vytas J. Baksys and Linda Bento-Rei.
*Sunday, January 7, 2018 at 6:00 PM at First Congregational Church, Sarasota, “Narrowly Classical” featuring Boston Symphony pianist, Vytas J. Baksys and colleagues
*Sunday, January 14, 2018 at 5:30 PM, “Peter and the Wolf” and other youthful classics performed by the SMV Woodwind Quintet. This program will celebrate the child in all of us and is appropriate for all ages. Families are encouraged to attend.
