November 10, 2017 (Tampa, FL) – On Wednesday, November 1st, Rustic Steel Creations, a Tampa based company that produces extraordinary steel and wrought iron creations, installed the “Largest Heart in Tampa Bay” at the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay’s facility off Bearss Avenue.
What: A custom heart sculpture has been donated to the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay by Dominique Martinez and Rustic Steel Creations. The heart is outdoors and sits at the entrance of Crisis Center Plaza.
Where: Crisis Center of Tampa Bay, One Crisis Center Plaza, Tampa, FL 33613
About the Heart:
-The heart is made of aluminum. It is over 10 feet tall, 8.5 feet wide, and it weighs over 400 pounds.
-It was fabricated & designed by Rustic Steel Creations. The metal was donated by Alro Metals. Rapid Metal Products provided laser cutting, Candy Coated Customs provided the powder coating, and RAMCON Towing provided the crane for installation.
-The heart will help create additional awareness for the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay and its facility off Bearss Ave. The Crisis Center envisions that the sculpture will become a local landmark that will remind people that help is available when they go through difficult times in their life.
-The installation of the heart is the final step in the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay’s facility renovation. Renovation of the Crisis Center started in April of this year.
“The man with one of the largest hearts in Tampa Bay has created Tampa Bay’s largest heart,” said Clara Reynolds, President & CEO of the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay. “Dominique had an amazing vision for the Crisis Center. His work will serve as a landmark of hope for the community.”
“This piece was a collaborative work,” said Dominique Martinez, CEO of Rustic Steel Creations. “It wouldn’t have been possible without the help and support of Alro Metals, Rapid Metal Product, Candy Coated Customs, and RAMCON Towing. I’m honored to be donating this piece to such a worthy organization.”
