Tampa Bay, Fla. (November 8, 2017) – Tampa Bay Technology Forum, the 17-year-old association representing Florida’s largest and fastest-growing technology hub, is rebranding as Tampa Bay Tech.
“As this region evolves into a substantial tech hub and continues to attract global companies, we wanted our brand to be reflective of the strengths of this very unique market,” said Jill St. Thomas, Director of Partnerships & Engagement with Tampa Bay Tech.
With hundreds of member companies representing thousands of tech employees – as well as thousands of students within the area’s colleges and universities – Tampa Bay Tech provides programs and initiatives to connect the community, development opportunities for members and supports Tampa Bay’s growing workforce.
“The name change is extremely significant,” adds Jason Warnke, a Managing Director within Accenture’s Global IT Leadership Team and Marketing Chair of Tampa Bay Tech. “It defines that we represent both sides of the Bay, that we are a connected and interactive network, and most importantly, that we empower the tech community.”
The new brand is officially launching at the 14th Annual Tampa Bay Tech Awards, the evening of Friday, November 10, 2017 at the Mahaffey Theater in St. Petersburg.
