Tampa Bay Veg Fest – Tampa’s Largest Vegan Festival Returns for 2017!

November 1, 2017 by Post

Free Event Promoting Health, Compassion, and Environmental Sustainability

Tampa, FL – On November 4th, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the Tampa community and beyond are invited to join for Tampa Bay Veg Fest’s 8th annual celebration of all things plant-based and vegan at Cotanchobee Fort Brooke Park! Featuring nationally renowned speakers, 100 veg-friendly vendors/exhibitors, animal rescue groups, vegan food, raw/cooking demonstrations, humane education, live music and entertainment, yoga classes, film screenings, a scavenger hunt appropriate for all ages, and activities for children and families, the event offers a diverse experience for all to learn about healthy, compassionate, and environmentally sustainable living.

This year’s Tampa Bay Veg Fest is presented by Florida Voices for Animals (FVA), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to educate the public on animal abuse, as well as the many benefits of a vegan lifestyle. For this year’s event, FVA has partnered with the non-profit organization Solutionary Events, an educational outreach organization committed to creating healthy communities through leading vegan and socially responsible events all throughout the state of Florida!

The goals of Veg Fest are to support people on their journey of learning about vegan living and to promote a vegan lifestyle in a non-judgmental, empowering, and positive environment. Veg Fest also supports people who have already chosen a veg lifestyle by offering validation and information to reinforce their healthy and compassionate choices.

“I stumbled upon Tampa Bay Veg Fest for the first time 8 years ago and this one event changed my life. Learning from knowledgeable speakers, eating delicious vegan food, listening to incredible music, and meeting amazing vendors passionate about making the world a better place, I was in awe of all the educational opportunities at this one day event. I was inspired by Florida Voices for Animals and all they had done to make TBVF happen and it is an honor to now be a part of coordinating this extraordinary event.” ~J. Bardroff, Event Director at Solutionary Events

This year’s featured speakers include John Corry (producer of PlantPure Nation & Forks Over Knives), Ellen Jaffe Jones (nationally renowned author and public speaker), Dr. Monica Aggarwal (cardiologist, assistant professor, and public speaker), Evelisse Capo (pharmacist and founder of The Food Farmacy), 7 year old VeganEvan (co-president of Animal Hero Kids), Jim Janolek (Appalachian trail through-hiker), and Korin Sutton (plant-powered pro bodybuilder).

Tampa Bay Veg Fest is free and open to everyone. Those who visit Veg Fest Central can receive free literature, food samples, information on participating in the Veg Fest scavenger hunt, and more! Learn more at www.tampabayvegfest.org
