Film, Wasted! The Story of Food Waste Coming to Et Cultura Festival in St. Petersburg, FL

Et Cultura’s 2017 film lineup includes documentary film, Wasted! The Story of Food Waste. The film explores various methods of dealing with food waste and sustainability, from unique recipes using reclaimed ingredients to governments that charge residents for throwing away food.

An important aspect of this film is that it enlightens viewers to facts such as the extraordinary amount of time it takes for a head of lettuce to decompose in a landfill. Facts like these are meant to inspire people to make changes in their lives to help fix the problem of food waste in their own homes.

Directed by Anna Chai and Nari Kye. Screening on Saturday, 11/18, 7-9pm at Sundial AMC Theater 5.
