Tampa, FL — Platt Street Borough Bar & Eatery opens this month, serving up chef-driven, New American fare and custom cocktails with authentic hospitality at 1809 W. Platt Street.
Blending the modern, classic and contemporary, Platt Street Borough’s approachable vibe expands indoors and outdoors with a genuine, food-focused ethic.
Chef-Owners Kiel Lombardo Adam Hyatt and met and worked together for years in the Tampa Bay area’s fine dining scene under James Beard Award-Winning Chef Roy Yamaguchi. They immediately bonded over a shared passion for creative food and drink. As their working relationship grew, the two began to share a vision of an approachable neighborhood restaurant that embraced their fine dining standards.
Platt Street Borough Bar & Eatery brings that vision to life, serving familiar and seasonal flavors through inspired ingredients that are thoughtfully sourced and purposefully used.
Chefs are bringing classic pairings to the table such as Seared Ahi Tuna with cold-pressed olive oil, radish and herb salad, and roasted peanut romesco; Shrimp & Grains with warm farro salad, Sicilian olives, arugula pesto, and baby heirloom tomatoes; or Roasted Beets & Citrus with pistachio, whipped chevre, chicory, and charred orange vinaigrette.
Brunch offers items such as Baked Eggs (San Marzano tomatoes, homemade sausage, grilled ciabatta) or the Bird (glazed yeast donut, buttermilk fried chicken, homemade pickles, whipped maple hot-sauce butter).
To pair with flavors on the seasonal food menu, The Borough will feature cocktails such as the Borough-Vardier (bourbon, antica, Campari, plum bitters), the Fire Pit Margarita (mezcal, fresh lime and blood orange sour mix), and the Cucumber Flower (vodka, cold-pressed cucumber, and lime juice with elderflower). Beer-tails like the Easy Blonde blend gin with elderflower and local blonde ale into a refreshing drink.
Menu items are priced from $5 to $25, and craft cocktails range from $8 to $12.
Stylish enough for a special occasion, while relaxed and affordable enough for everyday hang-outs, Platt Street Borough welcomes visitors for cocktails, games (bocce ball, darts, and skee-ball), and dinner six days a week, plus brunch on weekends.
