Association of Poinciana Villages to Host Annual Trunk or Treat and Family Harvest Party October 28th

October 22, 2017 by Post

The Association of Poinciana Villages (APV) is excited to announce a Halloween event that is sure to be treat. The Annual Trunk or Treat and Family Harvest Party will be held Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at APV’s Community Center parking lot, located at 445 Marigold Avenue in Poinciana. Last year’s event featured more than 1,000 attendees and about 25 trunks, with nearly double the amount of vehicles already signed up for this year.

This family-friendly and free event, which is open to APV residents and the public, will provide a safe and fun environment for children to trick or treat. Children are encouraged to dress up in their favorite Halloween costume so they can parade through the line of decorated cars and receive their treats. Once they reach the end of the line, children and their families will be led to the gymnasium to continue the fun with a Family Harvest Party. The party will include decorations, music, dancing and a special “treat trail” sponsored by the APV LifeStyles Department.

Those who are interested in participating in the decorating and candy giveaway should arrive at 5 p.m. to start decorating their trunk. A prize will be awarded for the best decorated trunk, and you can register your vehicle online at http://bit.ly/2xSUdBn.

Earlier in the day, residents and the community are also invited to attend Poinciana Fest 2017, brought to you by the Poinciana Area Council and Valencia College. This event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Valencia College – Poinciana Campus, located at 3255 Pleasant Hill Road in Kissimmee. Join us for food trunks, prizes, games, entertainment and much more!

The Annual Trunk or Treat and Family Harvest Party is just one of the many major events APV hosts throughout the year for residents and community members. Other events include the Poinciana Beautiful Awards Gala, the Independence Day Fireworks Spectacular, and the Christmas Parade and Winter Festival.
