October 18, 2017 [Tampa, FL] Barcamp Tampa Bay is once again creating excitement for its annual event. This year is extremely special as we celebrate our 10th anniversary. Over the past decade we have gathered the brightest minds in tech each year growing to the largest one day the event in Florida with as many as 1000 people attending. The event has become popular for its ability to draw experts within the software development, engineering, and economic development communities from across the region and as far as Canada. We invite everyone to join us Saturday, October 21st, 2017 at the University of South Florida Muma College of Business for this unique day of grass-roots innovative workshops and panels that has become one of the most anticipated events of the year.
Barcamp the ultimate experiment in content crowdsourcing because the agenda isn’t set until the morning of the event and is comprised solely of topics that the attendees decide are worth sharing. Individuals, not companies, in the tech community come to share their knowledge on the cutting edge technologies, tools, and techniques they use every day for fun and for business. Presentations cover a wide range of topics ranging from user experience design, WordPress, cryptocurrency, artificial intelligence (AI), wearable tech, IoT, 3D printing, gamification, cybersecurity, various coding techniques, social media, marketing, and much more. Barcamp also attracts the region’s highest concentration of tech startups, you can also expect speakers to cover broad early-stage business issues such as how to hire a developer or your first sales person, startup lessons learned, venture and angel funding mistakes, business coaching and other related topics. There will also be demonstrations hosted by Tampa Hackerspace where they will be showing off their inventions and contraptions.
Barcamp has the highest concentration of tech talent anywhere in the region. If you are looking for a cofounder, amazing tech talent across every discipline this is the place to be. Conversely if you are that talented individual this is a great place to network with would be team members, find a great gig, or meet executives from local tech companies or technology departments.
