September sales close record third quarter for Neal Communities

LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. – Despite a noticeable sales decrease due in part to Hurricane Irma, southwest Florida’s premier, private home builder, Neal Communities closed its third quarter sales with a record pace notching 901 sales to date in 2017, a five percent increase from last year at this time.

“Despite a weather related slowdown last month, we are pleased to be ahead of where we were last year and in a great position heading into the fourth quarter,” said Michael Storey, president of the Lakewood Ranch-based home building firm. “Our continued sales success this year is a testament to our talented team and our company’s capacity to nimbly adjust to market demands plus our ability to provide a constant supply of inventory to the market.”

In September, the builder sold 55 homes with notable communities including The Ridge at Crossing Creek in Bradenton with six sales and Boca Royale Golf & Country Club in Englewood with five sales.

The third quarter closes out a remarkable summer of sales for the Lakewood Ranch-based builder with 116 home sales in June, 85 sales in July and 121 sales in August, which shattered its all-time highest monthly sales record. Several communities sold out last month, including Central Park in Lakewood Ranch and Woodbrook in Sarasota. Only one home remains at Woodland Trace in Sarasota.

In Neal Communities’ south region, three of its neighborhoods are nearing complete sell out at Canopy and Reflection Lakes in Naples and Estero Place, a private, gated community in Estero. Sales recently began at Richmond Park in Naples.

Neal’s luxury custom homes division, Neal Signature Homes, with prices starting from the mid $600,000s, was responsible for seven sales in September. The Inlets in Bradenton now has only two waterfront home sites remaining and a fully furnished model home for sale.

September’s sales were decreased from the same time last year however with Hurricane Irma causing short-term closures of models and a clear disruption for the entire state.
