Tampa Bay, FL – October 12, 2017 – Tampa Bay is welcoming Christine Horner, MD for three days of events full of fun and incredible health tips, October 24 through 26. The events are fundraisers benefiting local non-profits, Women with Purpose and the L.Y.N. Fund. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to benefit from Dr. Horner’s valuable health tips as well as meet her and get a personally signed book.
Dr. Horner is a fierce advocate of women’s health. Her five-year crusade, the Breast Reconstruction Advocacy Project (BRA Project), led to the passage of laws in 35 states and a federal law. The federal bill, The Women’s Health and Cancer Rights Act, was signed into law by President Clinton on October 21, 1998. It was the first law Congress had ever passed requiring insurance companies to pay for a specific surgical procedure.
