Red Cloud Indian Arts 30th Anniversary Celebration & Art Show Opening November 10th 2017

Red Cloud Indian Arts celebrates its 30th year in St. Petersburg with a new solo show by D YaeL Kelley titled “Spiral Focus – The Calm in the Chaos” and a performance of the play “White Raven Speaks- Second Horizon” by Playwright Elizabeth Brincklow. Opening Friday, November 10th at 6PM – 10PM with the 15 minute play at 7PM at Red Cloud Gallery – 214 Beach Drive NE. St Petersburg FL 33701        www.redcloudindianarts.com

Red Cloud Indian Arts Gallery stands as the premier location representing Authentic Indian Arts in the city. To mark this special anniversary of 30 years the gallery is proud to host two events opening November 10th; The Art show from 6PM -10PM up through the month and the play for one performance at 7PM Friday only.

The new show by D YaeL Kelley “Spiral Focus – the calm in the chaos” will preview 15 new works from the artist, focused on her current expressionist exploration.  YaeL Kelley relates: “These new works are feelings in motion, not frozen, but capturing our continuously unfolding and changing reality” The artist continues to be inspired by stones and found objects yet for this show it is the wind, light and how time impacts her understanding of the now which inspire these new pieces.

Also opening night at 7PM the new play White Raven Speaks- Second Horizon by playwright Elizabeth Brincklow will be performed under the Stars just outside the gallery. This 15 minute play reading features: Angela Bond, Eugenie Bondurant and Caroline Howard. White Raven was comissioned by Keep St. Pete Lit’s 2017 Fantastic Ekphrastic and also produced in Tampa as part of the Carrollwood Cultural Center –Evening of Short Plays. Elizabeth Brincklow is a playwright, director and principal of an arts consulting agency. Within a career of work in the theatre, she has had plays produced in New York City and Florida.

White Raven Project is a multidisciplinary arts endeavor that fuses visual arts with performance arts that is currently underway involving several artists in the county founded by Kelley and Brincklow. The Project is thrilled to be involved with this important anniversary event at Red Cloud that celebrates this City of the Arts that is St. Petersburg.
