ART COMES TO LIFE IN HISTORIC KENWOOD

Historic Kenwood, long known as the “Neighborhood of the Arts” and home to an active Artist Enclave, has decided to “go public” with its art. A team developed a master plan and its first public art project is underway with the help of Durable Coatings donation of paint.  The mission: to transform the seven benches in the neighborhood’s Seminole Park into works of art. Six artists – Dwayne Shepherd, Skylar Suarez, Deb Cooper, Paul Barrera, David Foote and D YaeL Kelley were chosen by judges for the project. The new works of public art will be visible at BungalowFest and are expected to create a magnet of delight for residents and visitors alike.
