Davenport, FL (Oct. 9, 2017) – The newly remodeled Central Florida’s Visitor Information Center (CFVIC) will host a Fall Harvest Festival on Saturday, Oct. 28. Start your trick or treating here! This FREE, family-friendly event will take place from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.; including a pumpkin carving contest (see entry details below), candy, games and prizes. Costumes are welcome. Numerous local vendors will be on hand, selling food and gifts, including handmade products, jewelry, plants and produce. Bok Tower Gardens and Beef ‘O’ Brady’s will have booths and the Bloodmobile will be on site for donors. Attendees will receive one free LEGOLAND® Florida Resort or Bok Tower Gardens ticket for each one (of the same) purchased at CFVIC on the day of the event. Note: LEGOLAND Florida BOGO tickets are limited to the first 100 tickets sold. CFVIC attraction ticket prices are already discounted, making this an especially attractive offer.

Attendees who bring non-perishable food items for donation to local food banks will receive one entry for the chance to win four (4) tickets to LEGOLAND Florida Resort. (One entry per person.)

Prizes for the Pumpkin Carving Contest will be awarded at 3 p.m. to conclude the event. Note: Entries for the contest must be submitted in advance of the event and will be accepted all day on Thursday and Friday, Oct. 26 and 27, and from 8 to 9:30 a.m. on the morning of the festival. Entries will compete in three age groups: 3 to 9 years old, 10 to 15 years old, and 16 years to adult.

The CFVIC recently completed a major remodel, including new interior displays and flooring, the addition of phone charging stations for guests and a new playground adjoining a covered picnic area. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week and is located at 101 Adventure Court in Davenport (along U.S. Highway 27), a half-mile south of I-4 at Exit 55. In addition to assisting visitors, and residents, by providing tourism information about Polk County, the center also sells discounted attraction tickets for many Central Florida attractions including LEGOLAND Florida Resort, Bok Tower Gardens and most Orlando area attractions.
