Creative Loafing to Kick Off Annual Tampa Bay Burger Week with Slider Competition

(October 9, 2017 – Tampa, Fla.) – Tampa Bay Burger Week is back for the third year in a row. Join Creative Loafing and local Tampa Bay area restaurants for exclusively-priced burger offerings during Tampa Bay Burger Week from October 19th through 29th.

How it works: Each participating restaurant will offer a $7 burger ranging in style from classic to new school. When dining, simply ask for the Tampa Bay Burger Week special to enjoy that specific restaurant’s Tampa Bay Burger Week offering. A full list of participating restaurants and burger options will be listed online at tampabayburgerweek.com.

This year, Creative Loafing will be kicking off Tampa Bay Burger Week at a slider competition, Slider Showdown, on Wednesday, October 18th, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at The Vault in downtown Tampa. Local restaurants will be putting their best miniature sandwich recipes to the test as they compete to win the title of “Tampa Bay’s Best Sliders” as voted on by attendees. Plus attendees will be able to get their hands on a copy of CL’s annual Burger Issue the day before it hits stands on October 19th.

Slider Showdown tickets are on sale now. General Admission is $25 in advance (now through October 17th) or $30 at the door (October 18th) and GA includes a slider from each competing restaurant. VIP Admission is $45 in advance (now through October 17th) or $50 at the door (October 18th) and VIP includes a slider from each competing restaurant, a private VIP-only area sponsored by The Vault, one complimentary beer or cocktail, side options to accompany the competing sliders, and more. Slider Showdown kicks off Tampa Bay Burger Week, which runs from October 19th through 29th.

During Tampa Bay Burger Week, diners are encouraged to enter the Tampa Bay Burger Week photo contest by taking a photo of themselves, their delicious burger, or Burger Week experience and posting their photo on Instagram by adding their location at the participating restaurant and tagging #CLBurgerWeek. Each entry will be automatically entered to win prizes like $200 in CL Deals. Bonus: Each restaurant visited and tagged on Instagram automatically gets an additional entry into the contest.
