St. Petersburg, FL – (October 6, 2017) -The Sunshine Center, 330 Fifth Street North, St. Petersburg, is hosting “Come Out – Stay Out”, an LGBT Senior Resource Fair as part of the Come Out St. Pete week long schedule of events. The fair is free and open to the public. It will be held on Friday, October 13, from 9 a.m. to Noon and feature LGBT-related activities such as: businesses for seniors, speakers on topics of falls prevention, SHINE, housing, and activities for seniors in the LGBT community. Free advance directives will be administered by www.LifePlanLaw.com in cooperation with students from the Stetson University School of Law. A free continental breakfast will be offered to the first 100 attendees and lunch options will be available. Door prizes will be given away throughout the morning.
This event has been coordinated by the Better Living for Seniors LGBT Sub-Committee, Area Agency on Aging of Pasco/Pinellas, the Sunshine Center, and sponsored by Dignity Memorial. Proceeds from the event will benefit Sunshine Center’s Fee Waiver Program, which allows low income seniors access to programs and activities, and the Better Living for Seniors LGBT Sub-Committee, Area Agency on Aging of Pasco/Pinellas.
