St. Petersburg, FL (October 5, 2017) – The local nonprofit Operation: Military Matters raised $1400 recently held their first fundraiser at Texas Roadhouse in St. Petersburg. Texas Roadhouse gave ten percent of their food sales on Monday, September 25, 2017, to the nonprofit which totaled $775. “We support our troops and are grateful for all the sacrifices they have made for us. We will always do everything we can to give back and show gratitude. We truly believe in their cause and we’re touched by their humble beginnings. We feel privileged to be one of their partners and will continue to work closely with them to take care of our service members,” said Trevor Gauthier, managing partner Texas Roadhouse.
The other portion of the money raised was through a 50/50 raffle and donations the night of the event. Operation: Military Matters is a 501 (c) (3) and was created by the two 11-year-old girls Graci Tubbs and Ava Spano. They have been sending care packages to the military overseas for the past two years with the help of community support.
The money raised will be used to buy donations and help pay for the shipping. Each package costs $17.35 to ship. To find out more about Operation: Military Matters go to their Facebook page www.Facebook.com/OperationMilitaryMatters or their GoFundMe Page at www.GoFundMe.com/MilitaryMatters.
