HARDEE COUNTY, Fla. – Halfacre Construction Company (HalfacreConstruction.com), a Lakewood Ranch-based commercial construction company, has completed the improvements to Will Duke Road and the northbound U.S. Highway 17 utilities extension in Wauchula.
The Hardee County Industrial Development Authority chose Halfacre Construction Company for the $964,000 million project. Affecting about one mile, the updates provide utilities services along Will Duke Road for businesses and water main loop capabilities to extend water for future projects.
The improvements, which began July 2016, included the installation of one lift station, 850 linear feet of an 8-inch gravity sewer, 4,000 linear feet of a 6-inch force main, 2,700 linear feet of an 8-inch water main and 60 linear feet of a 12-inch water main.
The piece of 12-inch water main will be incorporated into a future project for that area along Martin Luther King Boulevard to Will Duke Road.
