Pasco Tax Collector Offices Accepting Donations for Hurricane Irma Victims

October 2, 2017 by Post

“It is a true measure of a community when a natural disaster such as Hurricane Irma hits and people respond with open arms to those in need,” states Pasco Tax Collector Mike Fasano. “It was an incredible sight to see so many people from our county and nearby communities come together and ensure that people were safe, had food and water, and shelter from the storm.

“Now that the threat of Irma is gone, and for many people the clean-up has taken place, our thoughts have moved on to other things,” Fasano continues. “However, there are many people in our very own community who are still faced with the realities of what Hurricane Irma wrought. For some, entire stocks of frozen and fresh food were lost due to extended power loss. For others, damage to home and property due to high winds and fallen tree limbs caused damage that seems impossible to repair.”

The five locations of the Pasco Tax Collector’s Office are accepting cash donations for Hurricane Irma victims. Working with the county to ensure funds get to where they need to go, every dollar raised during this campaign will be used for victims’ relief. If you would like to donate to this fundraising effort please visit any of our five offices in Pasco County:

• Gulf Harbors – 4720 U.S. Highway 19, New Port Richey 34652
• West Pasco Government Center – 8731 Citizens Drive, Room 120, New Port Richey 34654
• Central Pasco Government Center – 4111 Land O’ Lakes Blvd (US 41) Land O’ Lakes 34639
• Wesley Chapel – 4610 Pet Lane, C-101, Lutz 33559
• East Pasco Government Center, 14236 – 6th Street, Room 100, Dade City 33523

Please consider dropping your spare change into one of our collection buckets or make a larger donation if you can. Every dollar you donate will help someone get back on their feet, put food on their table or pay a bill that they could not otherwise pay.

For more information about this or any of the charitable giving programs at the Pasco Tax Collector’s Office please do not hesitate to contact Assistant Tax Collector Greg Giordano at (727) 847-8179 for more details.
