Publix Super Markets’ media and community relations manager presents ‘PR & Customer Service – The Secret to Publix’s Success’
SARASOTA, FL – September 26, 2017 – The Central West Coast Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association (CWC-FPRA) welcomes Brian West of Publix Super Markets as guest speaker at its October luncheon. The event takes place on Wednesday, October 18, 2017, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at USF Sarasota-Manatee, 8350 N. Tamiami Trail, in Sarasota.
Through the years, Publix has created a rich legacy of philanthropy and community engagement. West, the media and community relations manager for Publix Super Markets, will share the company’s philosophy on customer service and the positive impact that Publix has had on our community, all of which contribute to the company’s PR success, in a presentation titled, “PR & Customer Service – The Secret to Publix’s Success.” The public is invited to attend; the cost of the luncheon is $25/members, $35/guests. Brian West has worked with Publix Super Markets for more than 26 years. He is a third-generation Floridian and lifelong resident of Plant City, Fla. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, with a minor in Finance, from Florida Southern College.
West is a board member for V.I.S.T.E. (Volunteers in Service to the Elderly) and the East Hillsborough Law Enforcement Appreciation Association, past president and zone chair of the Plant City Lions Club, chair emeritus for the United Food Bank of Plant City, and currently serves as the immediate past chairman for the Greater Plant City Chamber of Commerce.
