Alessi Bakeries first opened its doors to the public in Tampa in 1912. Since then, it has survived two World Wars, baked millions of cookies, and has provided hundreds of families with unforgettable custom wedding cakes to mark their special memories.
Alessi Bakeries is holding an event on Thursday, September 28th, 2017, in celebration of National Bakery Day. Staff will be handing out cookie bag giveaways, offering in-house specials, and will be holding a raffle for an Alessi basket prize. The event will also be live-streamed on the Facebook page.
While most people think of a bakery as a place of convenience and mass-produced bread, bakeries are actually a dynamic part of local and national economies. The country’s first National Bakery Day will be held to celebrate independent retail bakeries and the vital role they play in local communities.
For nearly 105 years, Alessi Bakeries has provided the city of Tampa with high quality, artisanal baked goods, and is part of the fabric of the community. Alessi has served multi-generations of Tampanians and is proud to be a part of the city’s history.
Alessi warmly welcomes everyone to come celebrate the first ever National Bakery Day!
