Richard R. Gans Is Speaker at Sarasota County Bar Association’s Estate Planning & Probate Section Course

Richard R. Gans, a shareholder in the law firm of Fergeson Skipper, P.A., was the speaker at a course recently presented by the Estate Planning and Probate Section of the Sarasota County Bar Association. The topic “Elective Share Legislation” focused on the evolution of Florida’s elective share bill. He discussed the 2017 Florida elective share bill and the changes it will bring to elective share proceedings and how the elective share is calculated and satisfied. Elective share law exists to prevent disinheritance of a spouse.
