Clarita S. Ketels, DO is an Internal Medicine specialist who provides patient care from our Main Clinic location at 1600 Lakeland Hills Blvd. in Lakeland. Her areas of expertise include the diagnosis, treatment and management of diabetes, hypertension and osteoporosis.
Dr. Ketels received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing, MI. She completed her internship in Internal Medicine at Martin Place Hospital in Madison Heights, MI, and her residency in Internal Medicine at St. John Hospital in Detroit, MI. She is a member of the American Board of Disability Analysis, board-certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and possesses an additional certification from the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners.

Charlene O. Recto, MD also offers Internal Medicine services from the Main Clinic location. Her areas of expertise include nutrition and its role in treating a variety of chronic conditions, geriatric care, palliative care and hospice medicine.
Dr. Recto received her medical degree from the University of the Philippines in Manila. She performed an internship at Philippine General Hospital and a residency at Davao General Hospital in the Philippines. An additional internship and residency was completed at the Sound Shore Medical Center of Westchester, New
York Medical College, in New Rochelle, NY. She then completed a fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at New York University in New York, NY, and another fellowship in Palliative Care and Hospice Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY.

Nahomy Calixte, MD joins the Urology department at the Main Clinic. Her areas of expertise include a comprehensive array of general urologic services, as well as testicular pain management.
Dr. Calixte received her medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine in Boston, MA. She completed an internship in General Surgery and a Urology residency at the State University of New York at Buffalo in Buffalo, NY, where she also served as Chief Resident. A fellowship in Urology & Robotic Infertility followed at South Hospital in Clermont, FL. She is a member of the American Urological Association, International Volunteers in Urology, and the Robotic Microsurgical & Endoscopic Society.

Nicholas Newsum, MD joins the Hand Surgery department at the Main Clinic. His areas of expertise include a comprehensive array of surgical services related to the hand, wrist and elbow, including the treatment of arthritis, trauma, fractures and deformities, as well as arthroscopic surgery, joint replacement, sports medicine and tumor removal.
Dr. Newsum received his medical degree from the University of Toledo College of Medicine in Toledo, OH. He performed his internship and residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL, and fellowship in Hand Surgery at Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL. He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and a candidate member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. He is also a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Florida Orthopaedic Society and an Emerging Leader for the American Orthopaedic Association.

John Paul Zetty, DO is a Watson Clinic Critical Care specialist who offers his services exclusively from Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center at 1324 Lakeland Hills Blvd. in Lakeland. His areas of expertise include a variety of emergency care concerns, including the treatment of shock, heart failure, respiratory failure, sepsis and stroke.
Dr. Zetty received his Doctor of Osteopathic degree from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. He performed his internship at St. Luke’s Hospital in Allentown, PA. He then completed a residency in Internal medicine and a fellowship in Critical Care at Palmetto General Hospital in Hialeah, FL. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, and a member of the American Osteopathic Association, American College of Osteopathic Internists, Florida Osteopathic Medical Association, Society of Critical Care Medicine and American College of Chest Physicians.
