DETAILS: The public is invited to a free dinner and Meeting of the Minds presentation by Dr. John Hatcher on What the Bicentenary of the Birth of Baha’u’llah Means to Me, followed by a book signing of Dr. Hatcher’s many books. Dr. Hatcher’s books, including his latest two – From Sin to Salvation and In the Beginning, Was a Word – will be available for purchase.
In this presentation, Dr. Hatcher will share a bit about his own experience in attaining a personal relationship with the prophet/founder of the Bahá’i Faith, Bahá’u’lláh.
Dr. Hatcher is Professor Emeritus in English Literature at the University of South Florida, where he taught for 39 years. He is editor of the Journal of Bahá’í Studies, editor of the Wilfrid Laurier University Press Bahá’í Series, and author of more than 25 books. He was nominated this year for the Templeton Prize, which honors a living person who has made an exceptional contribution to affirming life’s spiritual dimension, whether through insight, discovery, or practical works. He and his wife Lucia live on a farm in Plant City and have four children and eight grandchildren.
