Highland Homes is proud to announce its recent recognition as the No. 5 largest homebuilder in Tampa Bay based on local closings in 2016 by the Tampa Bay Business Journal. Highland Homes, headquartered in Lakeland, closed 474 homes in the Tampa Bay area in 2016. The builder came in behind national builders including Lennar, D.R. Horton, CalAtlantic and Pulte, and was the highest-ranked local builder on the list. This is the second consecutive year that Highland Homes ranks at No. 5 on the list, a major accomplishment for the privately-owned builder.
To compile the largest homebuilders list, data was provided by company representatives and includes new homes built in Hernando, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk and Sarasota counties.
Currently, Highland Homes builds in 19 communities within the greater Tampa Bay area. Homes include both townhomes and single-family homes with prices ranging from the low $160,000s through $320,000s.
In addition to being ranked Tampa Bay’s fifth largest homebuilder, Highland Homes was also ranked the No. 8 fastest-growing company in Tampa Bay on the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Fast 50 list, as well as being named the No. 80 largest homebuilder in the nation on the Builder 100 list.
