BRADENTON, FL – Goodwill Manasota is pleased to announce a new partnership with fellow area nonprofit CareerSource Suncoast. Recently, Goodwill signed an office-sharing partnership with CareerSource Suncoast at the Goodwill Corporate Campus (2705 51st Ave E., Bradenton); the organization expects to begin serving the community at its new location by September 25.
Both nonprofits share comparable missions, visions and values, and they are dedicated to connecting unemployed – yet tenacious – men and women with available jobs. Yet while CareerSource and Goodwill provide similar programs and services, there will be little or no duplication of efforts.
Through its Job Connection program, Goodwill provides career counseling, interest and aptitude assessments, assistance with resume and cover letter writing skills, interview strengthening exercises, and application submission guidance. Goodwill not only employs individuals with disabilities, veterans, older adults, and those with other barriers to employment, the organization also provides them with ongoing education and skills training to maintain stable employment.
CareerSource Suncoast is a private, nonprofit corporation whose mission is to recruit, train and retain talent for employers on the Suncoast. The organization concentrates on responding to market dynamics, in order to provide workforce solutions for businesses and other organizations. It believes that employers and job creators are the most essential components for success in workforce solutions, understanding that an effective workforce ensures growth and sustainability for the entire community.
According to CareerSource Suncoast CEO Ted Ehrlichman, the community leaders that he works with are dedicated and community-minded individuals. “They balance day-to-day workloads while finding time to meet with community advocates on how they can move the needle on making our workforce strong,” he said.
“We are always looking for new ways to partner with others in the community,” said Goodwill Manasota president and CEO Bob Rosinsky. “Both Goodwill and CareerSource share a passion for and dedication to providing a helping hand to those in need, for the benefit of individuals seeking jobs and businesses seeking qualified candidates. By helping put people to work, our partnership will help to build the foundation for prosperity for the entire community.”
