St. Petersburg’s 2,031-seat cultural jewel showcases spectacular waterfront views that provide priceless entertainment memories. A varied comedy line-up will hit the Mahaffey in 2017-2018, featuring some of the top comedic voices from TV, film and the stage. Guests can enjoy Marlon Wayans and John Mulaney: Kid Gorgeous in September, the ever-popular Bill Burr for two shows in October, and the resilient Tracy Morgan in November. Family favorite, Michael Carbonaro, heads to St. Petersburg in December. He has performed over five hundred comically perplexing and improbable feats of magic on his hit TV series, The Carbonaro Effect on truTV.
The diverse live music selection ranges from An Evening with Bruce Hornsby to Jethro Tull by Ian Anderson to The Legendary Ladies of Motown. A special performance of La La Land in Concert (La La Land was the winner of 6 Academy Awards® including Best Original Score and Best Original Song) hits the stage in November, offering the chance to experience the original award-winning musical film like never before when a live symphony orchestra performs the entire score. Kick off the new year with PINK MARTINI with singer China Forbes or ease in to the spring with fan favorite The Righteous Brothers and the beloved & inspirational CELTIC WOMAN.
The 2017-2018 season has many choices for family entertainment. Bring your children to the live experience for the popular TV show DANIEL TIGER’S NEIGHBORHOOD LIVE in November. The always sold-out WILD KRATTS LIVE!, based on the hit animated TV series, will make a stop at the Mahaffey in the spring and is guaranteed to put a smile on your face.
The Holidays will be even sweeter this year with MANNHEIM STEAMROLLER CHRISTMAS BY CHIP DAVIS arriving in November to kick off the season. The Mahaffey Theater is excited to feature 98° AT CHRISTMAS and the unforgettable CIRQUE DREAMS HOLIDAZE offers a holiday extravaganza with 20 world-class acts and 300 costumes. The TEN Tenors Home for the Holidays will help set the tone for seasonal cheer, with performances of a unique selection of traditional and contemporary holiday favorites.
SUPER STAR STING: The Mahaffey is also home to the prestigious Florida Orchestra, celebrating its 50th anniversary with a spectacular, yet intimate evening with Stingheadlining their fundraising gala. The 16-time Grammy winner will perform on Saturday, Dec. 9 at the Mahaffey Theater in St. Petersburg, joined by the orchestra and a three-piece band.
