The latest in a continuing series of popular Free Lightning Made Hockey youth ball hockey clinics will take place from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sat., Aug. 26, 2017, at Terrace Sports, 5311 East Busch Blvd. in Temple Terrace.
Hosted by Grow Hockey Movement, Inc., which is based at Terrace Sports, the free clinic run by the Lightning Made team provides everything girls and boys ages 5 to 14 need to learn how to play street, or ball hockey. And chances are, you’ll spot a retired Tampa Bay Lightning player like Stanley Cup Champion Jassen Cullimore giving their time and expertise to beginners participating in the learn-to-play clinic.
Grow Hockey Movement is helping the Tampa Bay Lightning Made crew reach thousands of girls and boys with ball hockey programs in schools and the community, regardless of ability to pay.
Spread the word in your school and community about this great opportunity for all kids to learn how to play ball hockey. Besides having a great time on a Saturday afternoon, each of the girls and boys participating in the clinic will head home with a free street hockey stick and hockey ball from Lightning Made and a special prize from Grow Hockey Movement!
Saturday’s Lightning Made Hockey clinic at Terrace Sports will be divided into two parts: Girls and boys ages 5 to 9 will have an hour-long clinic session from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, and girls and boys ages 10 to 14 will take the rink from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. for their session.
