CLEARWATER, Fla. – With three buses filled at the prior three events, the 2017 Stuff the Bus Campaign will conclude at the Clearwater Chamber on Friday, August 25 as Clearwater-area businesses and community volunteers join together to stuff one more Pinellas County school bus with school supplies. The bus will be parked from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. adjacent to the Clearwater Chamber at 600 Cleveland Street. Supplies collected at this location will be given to students who are not able to afford supplies on their own.
Approximately 13% of families in Pinellas County are at poverty level and more than 50% of students are on free or reduced lunch. The Pinellas Education Foundation and the Pinellas County Council of PTAs and many businesses within the community have joined together in an effort to collect donations for those students in need.
