Highland Homes Recognized at Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Fast 50 Awards

August 11, 2017 by Post

Highland Homes was once again honored as one of the 50 fastest-growing privately-owned companies in Tampa Bay at the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Fast 50 Awards luncheon on July 27, 2017. This marks the third year in a row that the company was a Fast 50 Award recipient.

“As one of the few companies representing Polk County, it is truly an honor to be recognized for our personal growth as well as the economic growth in our county.” said Bob Adams, owner and president of Highland Homes.

The home builder received two awards based on revenue growth and percentage of revenue growth. Highland Homes was named the No. 42 Fastest Growing Company in Tampa Bay based on Dollar Revenue Growth, with $43.19 million in revenue growth from 2013 to 2015. In addition, Highland Homes was recognized as the No. 8 Fastest Growing Company in Tampa Bay based on Percentage of Revenue Growth, with 63.75 percent growth from 2013 to 2015.

The list’s rankings are based on revenue growth from 2013 to 2015 with financial information being verified by account firm Cherry Bekaert. To be considered for the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Fast 50 Awards, a company must be based in Hernando, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, or Sarasota County, have had three consecutive years of growth, and a minimum of $1 million in revenue in 2013.

Adams has been building homes in Tampa Bay for more than 45 years, and was a founding partner of Sun State Homes prior to founding Highland Homes in 1996. Longstanding relationships with local suppliers and construction subcontractors have contributed to his success and boosted the local economy.

“We’re thrilled to be recognized once again for our achievements,” said Amy Cooper, Marketing Manager at Highland Homes. “We provide excellent customer service and maintain quality and value in our homes, which allows us to continue to stand out from the average home builder. We expect to keep growing throughout 2017 and help more than 700 home buyers achieve the American dream of homeownership this year! At halfway through the year, we are right on track to see our goals come to fruition.”

Highland Homes builds quality new homes in communities throughout Central, North Central, Southwest and Tampa Bay, Florida. Homes are priced from the mid-$100,000s to $300,000s with more than 40 home plans to choose from, in communities offering everything from easy maintenance townhomes to luxurious estate homes.
