This summer we will have a toddler program, Songs and Stories on Wednesdays and Fridays at 10:30 a.m. This program will be open to all families with paid admission. Our members-only Terrific Tots program will start back on Sept. 6th.

Great Explorations summer camps are a fantastic way to have fun while school is out! Our camps stimulate learning and imagination with themes ranging from African Safari to Out of this World. Days are filled with experiments, arts, field trips and guest presentations from local experts in the fields we explore! Once the big kids go back to school, Great Ex kicks off two weeks of Totally Tots programming for ages 5 and under! Every week day, we will offer activities for tots and preschoolers. We have also invited special guests from the community to share information, resources and join in on the fun! At 10:30 a.m. just us for music and/or movement activities. We will have science or math activities at 11:30 a.m. and art, literacy or sensory activities at 3:30 p.m. Music and Me, LLC will offer a FREE Music Together class on Aug. 15th and Aug. 21st.
Parents’ Night Out

Drop off your children (ages 4 -10) for a night of fun at the museum while you take some time for yourself! Children can play in the museum, explore our popular Touch Tunnel, watch exciting science shows and enjoy a G or light PG- rated movie. Pizza, snacks and juice are included. Join us for Great Connections presented in partnership with the Family Network on Disabilities. For this event Great Explorations Children’s Museum will open early for children with special needs and their families to enjoy Great Connections, a sensory-friendly event. Great Explorations will close to the public, offer discounted admission and provide a “cool down” room for families who need to take a break. Peaceful & Powerful Parenting Class
Thursdays from Aug. 24 to Oct. 12
Join Great Explorations and Suncoast Center for a six week program designed to help parents with children of all ages build peaceful and powerful family relationships. Have FUN meeting & sharing ideas with other parents, understand how children learn & develop, discover & practice peaceful and powerful communication skills and discipline strategies and more.
