Hernando County’s First Escape Room Event

August 2, 2017 by Post

Springstead Theatre and Shark Theatre at Nature Coast Technical HS have joined forces to present Hernando County’s first escape room event, To Escape or Not to Escape! September 15 and 16 in the Black Box Theatre on the Nature Coast Technical HS campus.

Theatre students from Springstead and Nature Coast Technical high schools will portray characters in each of the three original interactive escape rooms. Each room offers an exciting, fun-filled challenge with puzzles to solve, riddles to unravel, and secrets to uncover. Teamwork, creativity, and problem solving skills are essential to finding the key to escape within the one-hour time limit.

The three unique escape adventures in To Escape or Not to Escape! are:

“The Show Must Go On!” – The stage manager needs your group to save the day by unscrambling a variety of backstage dilemmas before the curtain goes up on opening night. Can you save the play? For groups of 4 to 8.

“A Murder Most Fowl” – Your group has been called in to solve the murder of an eccentric millionaire who had a peculiar obsession with birds. Exposing the murderer is your key to escaping this room. For groups of 6 to 10.

“The Gravedigger’s Dilemma” – An unidentified corpse has turned up in this haunted graveyard; can your group discover the identity of the deceased and piece together what happened to the dearly departed? For groups of 8 to 14.

To Escape or Not to Escape is perfect for families, groups of friends, clubs and organizations, or groups of co-workers looking for a great team-building activity. All rooms are family friendly and are designed for ages 12 and up. Admission is $7.00 per person. For more information or to reserve a room for you group, call Lori Erickson at 352-797-7088 ext. 296 or Rebecca Pusta at 352-797-7010 ext. 366.
