Volume of Pre-Orders Places Documentary Alongside Box Office Heavyweights on iTunes

TAMPA, FLORIDA – Pre-orders for “The Messengers: A Podcast Documentary” have just begun, yet the film has already found its place among the full-length features coming out of Hollywood. A look at iTunes showed it listed next to a Will Ferrell/Amy Poehler film and a just-released film featuring top names such as Clive Owen and Ethan Hawke. The expected release for “The Messengers” is August 23rd, which will follow a screening the night before in Anaheim, California.

Tampa-based CK Productions Executive Producer Chris Krimitsos said, “I’m thrilled to see the response that the film is getting already in the first days of pre-orders on iTunes. I’ve been proud of The Messengers and had every faith in the impact that it would make and this is bearing that out.”

Screenings on the east coast from Florida to New York proved “The Messengers: A Podcast Documentary” to be much more than a behind-the-scenes study of the popular medium that is seeing rapid nationwide growth. Audiences openly shared their emotions after watching the film that takes the viewers on a personal journey inside the lives of its featured participants. Those podcasters run the gamut in terms of location (filming was done in Miami, the Florida Keys, Los Angeles, Puerto Rico, Guatemala, and the Midwest) as well as diverse cultures.

Scenes in the documentary go from depicting a podcaster whose personal journey with colon cancer is giving hope and support to listeners, to a Hispanic baby boomer who is a longtime enthusiast and podcaster from the gaming community, to an individual who grew from one podcast into an entire Horse Radio Network, plus even a woman who talks about a topic that only podcasting could dare let a show host address – a woman’s menstrual cycle.

The film’s official website is www.TheMessengersDoc.com and has a link to its listing on iTunes.
