DETAILS: The public is invited to this third-quarter gathering of the University Area CDC Partners Coalition. Attendees will learn about programs and initiatives happening in the USF area, and will enjoy complimentary breakfast and networking.
This gathering is for everyone who has an interest in improving the neighborhoods in the university area.
Presentations will include:
- Kelley Parris, CEO of the Children’s Board, who will discuss the power of partnerships via the University Area CDC’s DreamCatchers summer camp.
- Richard George, CEO of Junior Achievement, who will discuss the organization’s current expansion
- The Health Department and Planning Commission will present on the results of the recent walkability study, created in partnership with University Area CDC
- Children from DreamCatchers summer camp will perform bucket drumming.

University Area CDC provides support for thousands of Tampa residents through youth programs, adult education and resource assistance. Its primary mission is the redevelopment and sustainability of the at-risk areas surrounding University of South Florida’s Tampa campus.
