New Port Richey, FL (July 21, 2017) – The Ultimate Indoor Frisbee League season begins August 24th and Men’s Adult Basketball League begins September 13th.
The City of New Port Richey Recreation and Aquatic Center is hosting their Ultimate Indoor Frisbee League which begins August 24th and runs through November 9th. Teams play at the Recreation and Aquatic Center gym from 8:30 to 10:30pm on Thursday evenings.
Ultimate Frisbee is a non-contact team sport where players score points by passing the Frisbee to a teammate in the opposing end zone. Other basic rules are that the players must not take steps while holding the Frisbee and interceptions, incomplete passes and passes out of bounds are turnovers. Teams consist of 5 to 8 players per roster with 4 players on the court per team. The league is open to players 18 year of age and up with a registration fee of $125 per team.
Ultimate Frisbee is a fast growing sport with a United States Governing Body and Youth, College, Masters and Beach Divisions.
The City of New Port Richey Recreation and Aquatic Center Men’s Adult Basketball League will consist of 6 teams maximum with 6 to 10 players per team ages 18 and up on their roster. Registration runs from August 1st through the 30th with League Play beginning on September 13th. Team registration fee is $350 for the season.

The Recreation and Aquatic Center welcomes spectators to both the Ultimate Indoor Frisbee and Men’s Adult Basketball Leagues. Admissions for spectators is free. The facility is open exclusively for league play on these evenings.
