SWIM Continues to Raise Money for Local Non-profits
St. Petersburg, Florida: Approximately 300 women filled the historic 5 –star venue, Nova 535, in St. Petersburg on June 11 for the first annual Social Women in Motion (SWIM) White Party. This signature SWIM event also served as a fundraiser for a local non-profit, Girls Rock Camp St. Pete and helped raise $600 for the organization.
“Part of our mission is to give back to our community. We utilize our Pop-up Parties – of which the White Party was one – to attract larger crowds, have a great dance party, while raising money for local charities. We were immediately drawn to GRC St. Pete and the fact they use music as a medium to help young women find self-confidence, creativity, strength, and sense of community,” says Carla Corley, President of SWIM. “To have the opportunity to support these young girls is just priceless.”
“GRC St. Pete is honored to have teamed up with SWIM. Carla, the board and the SWIM members have helped fundraise, find volunteers, and overall supported GRC from day one of us talking. Proud to be a part of the SWIM team,” says Rachael Sibilia, founder of GRC. St Pete.
